Inventoried natural landslide areas in Southeastern Indiana were mapped as polygon features at a 1:1,500 scale using data collected through fieldwork, orthoimagery, and LiDAR DEM slope pattern analysis.

This project was funded through the United States Geological Survey Landslide Hazards Program under the Landslide Risk Reduction grant G24AP00426.
<purpose>The mapped landslide polygons depict landslide area boundaries in southeastern Indiana.

<procdesc>With the availability of state LiDAR data and the combination of aerial and ortho-imagery, landslide areas were mapped and developed into a GIS polygon data layer.

The mapped landslide polygons depict landslide area boundaries located in southeastern Indiana. Landslide area boundaries were determined by using the 2016-2020 State of Indiana Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data set. A slope-angle DEM derivative data layer was created using GIS software to visually depict landslide geomorphological features.</procdesc>
